Road Accident: Bioče Train-Bus Tragedy (2006)

A devastating accident occurred when a bus carrying passengers was struck by a train at an unprotected railroad crossing near the village of Bioče. The bus driver attempted to cross the tracks despite limited visibility, and the train, traveling from Bijelo Polje to Bar, collided with it.
➤ Casualties:
● 5 fatalities, including the bus driver
● Over 20 people injured
➤ Impact:
● Raised awareness of rail crossing safety
● Led to improvements in infrastructure and signaling systems at key crossings in Montenegro
