Fatal Bus Crash near Mostar – 2022

On July 29, 2022, a tragic bus accident occurred near the town of Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, when a tourist bus traveling from Sarajevo to Dubrovnik veered off the road and plunged into a ravine. The accident claimed the lives of three people and injured over 15 others, including foreign tourists. Initial investigations indicated the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel. Poor road infrastructure and fatigue were contributing factors. The incident prompted the Ministry of Transport to review safety standards for tour buses on major regional routes.
